It is worse than most of the country realizes. People need help so media attention at least brings the awareness of what is going on.

I can't wait....

So to you its about Trump vs Hillary? Forget about what a lot of other people did, that's all you are worried about? What the hell these two clowns have done? Whatever either one of them do, its purely for their self interest.

Would Trump have come down if he was not a presidential candidate? I seriously doubt it. Why does everyone care more about what the politicians do than the people who actually do things to help, because they feel its the right thing to do?

because it puts a light on a disastrous situation, this is America, people will help, via donations, goods and services, etc..

Donating his own money for supplies and to help people is for votes?

You really think LA was going Dem?

Please.

And yes..he's a candidate for president of the United states. He came down. He donated his personal money. Obama couldn't be bothered to leave the 6th green to even have a press conference. He's the actual president.

I'll let your feeble mind figure out the symbolism.

This makes me laugh, if anyone says something about Trump you are automatically "liberal scum". lol. I consider myself Independent and I am register as a republican, yet according to this board, because my view of Trump is not the great, I am a liberal idiot.

That's what's wrong with the country in the first place. So many people have the mindset that if you are for one side you are against the other. When it comes to our political system there is a lot of grey area. In fact, the grey area is what decides elections, candidates have to appeal to the people who wants what is best for the country, not the people who already has their mind made up.

Hillary couldn't be bothered to leave her husband's birthday celebration at Martha's Vineyard. Neither could Obama.

It's good that the media is drawing attention to the needs of the victims.

I also love that the story is how people are working together to help each other. It destroys that bullshite "racism" guideline narrative or the nonsense surrounding the BLM debacle in Baton Rouge.

agree.. im republican, will be voting for trump.. because he is the less of the 2 evils in my eyes. Dont be mistaken though, he is a snake in the grass. Dude was a democrat a few short years ago, until he saw republican was an easier ticket and made his swap. I dont trust anything trump says "even if i like it"z

You really think LA was going Dem?

No dude, I am clearly aware of the political climate in this state. The democrats have nothing to gain by doing something to help Louisiana.

Trump, on the other hand, wants to reassure he has Louisiana in the bag for the republicans because of what happened in the primaries (that whole situation in which he sued the state over delegates in the state deciding to not support him.. I am not sure if that is the exact story, but you know where I am going).

Has it been verified that he actually donated money for supplies? It doesn't matter to me either way. If he did, despite the fact it was dont for self interest, it still helped people, however; I don't think he should be treated as the savior of mankind.

A lot more people have done more than him, without it being done out of self-interest.
