Pretty much
Until the China flu, I was unaware that so many people were afraid of death.

So, all these people and business that rely on tourism and unique NOLA attractions to stay afloat are taking it upon themselves to cancel big events for the second year in a row? Yeah, I don't believe that shite.

No it didn’t. I live on Julia and walked from the 300 block to the 700 block - the meat of gallery row- and there wasn’t many people at all. You could easily get into a gallery, nothing like a normal WLN event.
It’s funny how people trash this event since we always have a great time. Almost as funny as those that think RDR is an LGBQT event. My guess is that those critical have never been to either.

I can only speak to where I was

I was at the Julia and it was fricking packed. And the funny thing is 90% of people there were doctors/med students Party carried over to the pool too

Doctors and med students, don’t they know the hospitals are overrun? How dare they have some semblance of normal life and fun!

is red dress run a "big" event now?

this "cancellation" is going to do little deter people from going or not going. they've already made up their minds

only thing that would stop it is if Latoya closed bourbon

No, but just add it to the list. When nearly everything has been canceled for two years anything that can actually happen is "big".

have you ever been to it?

The FQ is fricking packed from sunup to late in the evening. Like almost Mardi Gras packed. Its a damn huge event for all of the businesses in the FQ.

And that wont change this weekend based on the run itself being cancelled

She is going to have to close the bars down to stop that

The city did not cancel jazz fest or the red dress run. The entities did.

yes I've been there several times genius. the traffic is primarily on bourbon

where Mardi gras is literally the entire fq

we have people on this board suggesting red dress run compares to Mardi gras traffic and they're seriously with these comments

The entire FQ is pretty damn packed that day.

No it isn't Mardi Gras citywide or Jazz Fest, but it is a fairly significant event for FQ businesses in the slowest time of the year traditionally for them.
