Looking to get my first one. Want the sleep and heart rate options.

I don't like the bulky ones. And don't want to spend too much.

Looking at the Fitbit charge 2 w/HR. And the Garmin VivoDmart HR. But open to any suggestions.

TIA

I still dont get this. I mean, I guess sleep tracking will let you know if you have a sleep issue. But what does daily HR tracking do? I track my heart rate during exercise, but not while I'm just lounging around.

Garmin has been around along time and will continue to be here. I can track my activity all the way back to 2007 with garmin connect. If you are interested in longterm records I'd go with the garmin.

Got the Charge HR two years ago after my yearly physical. My resting heart rate jumped to almost 110 bpm. Given my family has an extensive history of heart disease I knew I needed to fix it.

When I went looking I wanted something small, good battery life, and a sleep monitor.

It helped me realize I was lying to myself about how active I was and how much sleep I was getting. Actively changing my lifestyle and diet got my heartrate down to 70 bpm. Soon saw a huge increase in energy and happiness.

I have one, works great. Though I personally don't like wearing a watch when I sleep, so I don't use the sleep tracking.

I've had a Fitbit, a TomTom, and a Garmin. I have a Vivoactive now, and it's been the best I've had. Thin, very light, easily the best battery life of the three.

Just noticed you were looking for HR options. Can't speak to that, never had that on any of the ones I used. But overall, I think Garmin has the best app, and most accurate tracking of all the ones I've worn. Just my $.02.

None of them track steps accurately. None. If that matters to you, don't buy any of them.

I have a Garmin Vivosmart HR and find it to be highly inaccurate.

That's what I was afraid of. All reviews I have read on any AT are sort of hit and miss.

All optical HR monitors tend to be considered inaccurate. A chest strap is going to work best, but that's obviously not feasible for daily tracking. I wouldn't worry if one is considered a little off, it's just the nature of them right now from all I've read.

You need to get the FapTracker 4.0 App. It makes me feel like an athlete in training.

It tells me I'm climbing stairs when I get up from my desk. I've seen it add half a mile on a 1.25 mi walk when compared to GPS.

On the flip side, I've gone for a run and it tracked nothing. Just very hit or miss performance.

I do like that it displays your caller ID and texts when connected via Bluetooth.
