Recently deceased in dreams

I dreamed last night of my Father. He passed away two weeks ago and I was sort of anticipating this dream because I experienced it with my brother 24 years ago and my mother 18 years ago. He was vivid, calm and calming, and most notably, like the others, he did not speak. I awoke with a feeling of peace and serenity at 4 AM.
In 1991, my brother died suddenly, and a few months later, appeared vividly in my dreams, I believe to tell us it was time to move on, and he is fine, but he could not speak. I found out a weeks later that one of my sisters dreamt of the same vivid details the same night, three hundred miles away.
While I am not religious, I can't get past the idea there is more to life than this flesh and blood experience.

If it brings you peace...take it as just that. Doesn't have to be any religious meaning behind it. Sounds like a great experience to help with the grief process.

Dreams come from the subconscious void. Which is basically your connection to infinite intelligence. It is your connection to the dimension your consiousness will experience after death and which it experienced prior to birth. True reality. The third dimension of time and space which you inhabit in your physical body is not ultimate reality. The dream dimension, the Fourth/Fifth dimension is the dimension of reality that people who have had NDE's describe. It is the realm your loved ones inhabit when they die so it makes sense that they connect with and communicate with you in the dream state.

My dad died 5 years ago and he still is in some of my dreams. I love those nights.

This happens to me too. Specifically for a deceased friend of my dads and a childhood friend of mine. It used to make me sad but now I kind of like it because for that short time it feels like am actually back with the person. I can talk to them in my dreams and they will respond, and I think that is kind of cool.

I sure hope there is something more after death! I can't imagine never seeing my parents again. I fell asleep one night with my phone in my hand. I hear my mom calling my name a few times, waking me up. My phone had my name highlighted and speak option was on screen. Phone just was repeating my name over and over

My grandmother told me my grandfather visited her shortly after he died. She woke up one night and he was standing at the end of the bed, looking at her. I think she said he was laughing, but it's been a long time and I may not be remembering it right. She was the least likely person to believe in that sort of thing, so I think she experienced something, whatever it was. AFAIK I'm the only person she ever told about it. She never spoke of it to anyone else, not even my dad.

I dream of my father often, more often than any other relative. I welcome those dreams, I feel that he is out there, letting me know things are ok. Not sure if the dreams have any significant meaning other than giving me a bit of comfort.

My dad passed away 8 years ago, he's still randomly in my dreams. Seems to go in phases though, won't happen for months and then it'll happen several nights in a row. It's never a constant theme or anything, pretty random stuff like we're fishing, or on vacation, or just hanging around the house and he's there. It's odd but I embrace it because it brings back memories of him, I've always assumed it's normal for people to do that.

Damn man, what I wouldn't give for that. I've lost both grandparents(very very close to them) on one side in the last 3 years. I would give anything to spend another couple hours with them again in any state.
It is a very strange coincidence your sister experienced this as well. Consider yourself lucky and cherish every second.

My dad passed away a couple months ago and he's been in many of my dreams since!!!
I haven't told anybody, but yea it's very vivid and very realistic everytime.
I've always believed that I dream the future and one of my recent dreams was him standing over by the wall at my daughters graduation with a nod & smile for me.
(My daughter is only in the 9th grade)

I just read a book called Proof of Heaven. It's a true story written by a world renowned neurosurgeon in Boston who spent 7 days in a coma and had a NDE. It's a great book! He goes into some pretty scientific details of comas, dreams, etc.

My Grandfather has been dead for almost 40 years. He still pops up in my dreams every once in a while.

My wife's uncle who died while she was pregnant for our first child came to her in a dream and told her " it will be ok I will watch the baby for you" Our baby died a week after he was born. WILD

My best friend died at 21. Close to the 1 year anniversary I dreamed we were just sitting at a table talking. In the dream I was aware he was dead and that's what we were talking about and I remember very vividly him saying "Everything is okay." I woke up feeling very comforted.
