I love how people used to joke about top gun basically having to make up a US/Russian engagement to have a good finale. And they totally did.

But now we know something exactly like that did actually happen I’ll think of the original a little differently when I watch it now. This is cool.

Russia cucks (who ironically also hate communism) won’t know how to handle this

The NeoCons and Progressives attempts to use Russia Russia Russia and “patriotism” as both a shield to hide behind, as well as a cudgel to beat anyone who dares disagree with the Ukraine narrative is beyond tired and boorish at this point.

You guys aren’t fooling anyone.

My cousin was essentially a top gun pilot and flew all over the world, and was one of first fighter jets that lead the attack on Iraq etc.

He used to say the Russians were always trying to mess up the radar in his jets, etc trying to get them to fly into their space etc that went far beyond to gun stuff. I ask him had he ever been in actual fire fight with them he said “he hadn’t but played chicken with them more times than he could count”

If y’all are interested you should read Scream of Eagles by Robert K. Wilcox.

About the beginnings of Top Gun during the Vietnam war. The initial cadre being a bunch hard drinking Korean War vets that still knew how to dog fight. Pretty crazy stories.
