Even if the blacks at the bar didn’t care, that’s a fricking bizarre thing to dress up as for Halloween

Sorry Progs. You voted for the governor of VA and Justin Trudeau.

You can't feign outrage over this.

Didn't it start out as it only being "offensive" if someone had blackface to dress up like Sambo.. a character in some anti-black publication after slavery?

Then you get politics involved and people are tying to find dirt on each other.. They find a picture of the person they are tying to find dirt on and then tell people that it was wrong and that they are a bad person..

They always find some far left black person to talk about these issues as if they speak for all black people and then the next thing you know, you have all of these "woke" white people trying to tell other white people what offends black people..

Either way, the only way it is offensive is if you allow it to be offend you. And if it does offend you that sounds like a "me" problem.

By all means deny the historical implications regarding blackface.

Does it not have to do with the character Sambo? What I am saying is.. Not all black face is meant to be racist. But I guess we can't expect people to apply common sense.

Intent is more important than the actual doing. If a teenage kid decides to dress up like his favorite athlete, who is black.. And his intent is to get it as accurate as possible so he paints his face and all exposed skin black.. And he had not bad intentions whatsoever. In his mind he is just thinking "If I am going to dress up like __________ I am going to do it right. He doesn't deserve a half arse costume".. Like I said, this is how the teenager thinks of it.

Is that racist? Lets say he isn't at all aware that the whole blackface thing is a thing. A friend takes a picture.. 20 years later that teenager is in the public eye and then all of a sudden the picture his friend took resurfaces and all of a sudden he gets cancelled.

Are you okay with that?

One of the funniest things I ever heard MFP do when he called in was.. I think it might have been after LSU won the 2007 NC.

I submit what I think was an even funnier call from MFP to (I think) Jimmy Otts show back in the day (90’s maybe).

MFP calls in to talk about whatever the subject was at the time and his mom picked up the phone and wanted to make a call. MFP went back and forth with his mom live on the radio. I’m pretty sure I shed tears of laughter that day.

Wow!

This was years ago, but someone told me they were listening to some sports show out of new york. It was later than usual for MFP.. I think he said it was about 9-930PM.. He was just causally listening. People from all over the country was calling in and all of a sudden he heard "Next up.. Mike from Pla.. Plaqu.. mine?". I don't remember what he said MFP asked, I just remember he saying the host making a comment about waiting on hold for a long time just to ask the question he did.

No it’s not. It’s a pretty common theme for a Halloween Party.
