-Huntingtons Disease-
My brother, my sister and me await in terror of this everyday. The sudden uncontrolled jerk of an arm, a brief second of imbalance or having a hard time just swallowing something at lunch. Is this it we have to ask and is this the beginning of the end of us. We watched our grandfather and father die a miserable death stuck in a nursing home. One of my cousins killed himself. It is absolutely dreadful.

Stevens- Johnson Syndrome -rare drug reaction in which the entire body would break out in severe blisters, similar to having 2nd degree burns over entire body.
My daughter had this when she was four years old from getting a cut on her hand at recess, and then had the reaction to intravenous Benadryl in the emergency room at Children’s Hospital. It was awful and the doctors had no idea what was going on for about 3 days. we had med students in our room having a House MD show discussion about what was happening. Her Whole body puffed,
up blisters everywhere was a very, very stressful time. Full recovery about a week later. Thank God

I'd take anything the dr said try to keep that from happening. I would take that MRNA vaccine right now if they had it

Pancreatic cancer. If you learn you have it, 99% of the time it's at stage 4 and you're basically already dead
This was my grandfather. He died 13 days after it was diagnosed.

She was dead in 3 months. Very sad!
I don’t see that as necessarily a bad thing in her situation. Terrible for y’all, though.

Stopped eating wild hog and deer because of this. I didn’t eat much to begin with though . Prions are as close to indestructible as it gets. If this disease is found in surgery all equipment that touched the patient is incinerated.

My mom was diagnosed with vascular dementia Nov 24 and died last week. We think she had a massive stroke during the night, so we called hospice in and let her die peacefully. Hospice to death was 5 days. I hate dementia!

My father in law is 6 years into ALS, completely paralyzed, liquid diet because he cannot cough, 100% reliant on a portable vent except for between sips, but 100% mentally intact. it is easily the worst thing I have ever had to witness. I can’t even put into words how horrible it is and how much of a strain it puts on the entire family.

My pawpaw died from mesothelioma. You basically suffocate at the end. It was brutal. Eta- it was caused by a plant that went bankrupt so an attorney would not have helped
My uncle, the youngest of the 10 kids, got mesothelioma in the 70’s from remodeling retail stores. He was lucky enough to survive but he was already the runt of the litter and the cancer exacerbated his diminutive physique. He died of pneumonia the day after playing bridge with the neighbors and catching their cold the night before. Respiratory system so weakened that just a common virus killed him within 24 hours.

Kidney stones terrify me to the point I refuse to drink anything but water and bourbon.
Beer is actually good for warding off kidney stones.

I dated a girl years ago that had Chron's really bad, when it flared up she would be in the hospital for a week getting blood.
It finally killed her in he early 40's I heard.
