Well, our anniversary is in June, and what appears to be peak travel time for Italy. So expecting to pay some premiums for that.

Cost for trip to Italy?

Posted by Roux57 on 12/30/25 at 5:14 pm
Wife and I are beginning to plan our first international trip. Expecting 10-12 days in Rome, Florence, Lake Como, and possibly Venice.

What should we reasonably expect to budget here? We don’t care to stay in the fanciest of places and not going to book tours for 8 hours everyday.

Believe I paid $450 at wildlife reflections in French settlement last year. Very very good work. It may have been $550, can’t really remember.

Goodluck!!
Bought an older home in Jefferson Terrace last year, I haven't had any complaints yet about the neighborhood. Very quiet, mostly older folks with a younger-middle aged families moving in.
And if my aunt had a pecker, she’d be my uncle
My father in law is 6 years into ALS, completely paralyzed, liquid diet because he cannot cough, 100% reliant on a portable vent except for between sips, but 100% mentally intact. it is easily the worst thing I have ever had to witness. I can’t even put into words how horrible it is and how much of a strain it puts on the entire family.

The takomos were sold out from under me so I guess I’ll be sticking with the ole trusty pings.

Beginner golfer - clubs advice

Posted by Roux57 on 8/16/25 at 10:29 am
I was given, for free, some ping eye 2 irons (missing the 5 iron) and they need new grips.

I have the opportunity to buy some takomo 101 clubs 4-pw for $350 with new grips.

For an absolute beginner, which would you recommend I go with?

I am also needing to buy a driver which I plan on buying one used at dicks, Edwin watts, or facebook. Any recommendations on a particular driver for a beginner?

DIY aluminum insulated patio cover?

Posted by Roux57 on 8/2/25 at 11:07 pm
Anyone ever done their own aluminum patio covers coming off the fascia? I feel like it couldn’t be that hard. Just not sure where to order the materials from? Assuming you can buy them in a kit?
Call Tommy’s windows in BR and thank me later
Please rotate your table 90 degrees, it'll look better and not be so close to the side the rain is coming in!
