It’s time to look at that family tree.

Every person’s box in the tree could have been a kid, parent, grand parent, great grand parent, etc.

Why would heaven present itself in just your perspective?

Then comes the dirtier side of Earth:

Think about the souls who died in utero, for example…what age are they?

The souls created by rape, who is their full family?

Those created by incest?

Those created by gay fathers?

Those created by one night stands and lived without their fathers.

Racists (like real hate of full sets of people) on Earth, if in heaven, eternally living with all races of people - possible?

How about family and friend who do not land there, missed?

So many questions.

Since heaven nothing but happiness, what if one of our loved ones isn’t there. Does that mean they are suffering in hell? How will that make me happy?

"Our relationships on earth mean more to us than anything else. I loved my dad and mom; I love my sister and her family; I miss my wife, and I cherish daughters, their husbands, and all their children. These relationships are more valuable to me than any other single thing in this world apart from my relationship with Christ. I never want to lose these bonds of love. It doesn’t matter if I lose everything else on earth, I don’t want to lose those dearest to me. I want to be where they are, and I want them to be where I am.

Jesus felt the same way. In the upper room on the eve of His crucifixion, Jesus told the disciples,

If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. — John 14:3

He wanted His friends to be with Him, near Him, fellowshipping with Him forever. A couple of hours later, Jesus prayed an unutterably deep prayer just before His arrest.

Father, He said, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am. — John 17:24

Jesus Himself — God of very God — wanted His friends and family to be with Him in eternity, where He was, so He could enjoy their fellowship and love. He feels as we do about our dearest ones. These passages in John 14 and John 17 clearly imply that one of the greatest joys of Heaven will be our everlasting reunion with those we love."

That is about the best summation I could find, from faithgatrway.com

I believe the Bible is clear on this, that we will know one another in Heaven.

I have thought about this extensively, because of my personal life, and I know God has it worked out.

As best as I've been able to gather, age doesn't exist there. Nothing human exists. Also, it's impossible to even humanly conceive what it's like, because life as you know - your mind as you know it - is a construct of your earthly, human life. The passage of time doesn't exist there. The only thing there is sheer joy and the constant feeling of love, belonging, contentedness, happiness... Everything good about human life you feel is a fraction of what there is in heaven.

I'm sure you can interact with other souls in a way that resembles your life here, if you wish to. And if you wish to appear old, young, tall, short, or just a glowing orb of light, you're free to do so. Human consciousness and the way we can feel here is limitless there.

The good news? If you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you praise Him daily, you ask for forgiveness of your sins, you feel in commune with Him, you try to live in His example, then I think you're good to go.

I'm pretty sure our priorities and even our thoughts are going to be totally transformed to the point that our natural relationships here on earth aren't even going to be a thought for us in heaven. We probably won't even have familial cares and/or attachments once we are in heaven since our sole care and desires will be to worship God for eternity. I also think we'll view everyone in heaven as our brother/sister in Christ, and there won't be distinctions about who was or wasn't our earthly family.

I get that. I’m and I’m sure when I get there I won’t give it a second thought. But right now in my earthly body and mind, the thought of eternity without my wife being my wife is frankly terrifying.

Yeah, they do. You just have to go to the Rainbow Bridge to see them.

Same. I’ve thought about this quite often ever since I read that.

If I understand correctly, there is no eating or food there. That would be sad as it’s such a positive thing on Earth that brings friends and families together.

I don't believe you will know the family you had on Earth.
There's far too many near death experiences for me to think this is the case. I have listened to a whole bunch who say they were met by either a loved one and/or Jesus.

All jokes aside, none of us can really comprehend heaven.

We know some truths about heaven. We know some promises about heaven. But day to day life, if time is even a concept, is beyond our minds.

Even the physical descriptions of heaven in the Bible, I don’t think are real descriptions. Take the “streets of gold” thing. I don’t think the Bible describes streets of gold to impress us or make us think of some Asgard like city from a marvel movie.

I think it was just a way to point out that gold, the universal symbol of value on earth, is gravel on the street in heaven in terms of what is important and has value.

The issue is people try to define God and eternity(time) with finite human knowledge.
We were created in His image not God created in ours.
You cannot fully define an eternal God or eternal time with our finite knowledge.
Heaven is perfection. All who enter will be fully content.
Focus on making sure you will be there

This has always bothered me. I don’t like the thought of eternity where my wife isn’t still my wife.

I was married to a beautiful, intelligent, sexy woman before she passed away 15 years ago. I hope I can enjoy sex again with her throughout eternity. But to complicate things - I've since remarried to a beautiful, intelligent, sexy woman. I would not mind a menage a trois with both of these ladies for the next few trillion years. However, it is further complicated by the fact that my present wife is a widow, and ... well let's just say I'm not too keen about an MMFF. Wonder how that's going to play out.

I was six years old when my maternal grandmother passed away at the age of 75. I was too young at the time to realize or understand how much my grandmother's passing affected my mother. She became very depressed and it stressed her to the point her hair started falling out.

One night, my mother said she had an extremely vivid dream - the most real and vivid dream she said you could imagine. In the dream, my mother was sitting in our living room, and my deceased grandmother was sitting in one of our chairs. My mother said my grandmother had a glow around her, and appeared to by around thirty years old. My grandmother told my mother in the dream not to worry about her, and that she was happy and no longer in pain.

Take that all for what it is worth, but after that, my mother did a 180 turnaround with her grief. Anyway, to answer your question, I suppose that you will appear as you did when you were in the prime of your life.
