Ran some pretty decent game in the office today

I didn’t bring my lunch today so I went to the office break room to grab a p-tart from the vending machine. One of the new girls in the office was eating her lunch near the vending machine.
After I got my p-tart I turned around and said “nice haircut.” She was like “oh thanks I got it cut a couple weeks ago“ and started touching her hair. I said “no, I said nice pear cut” and pointed to the sliced pears she was eating. After a second of confusion she burst out laughing so loud everyone looked our way.
While everyone was looking at me I popped out a p-tart and said “breakfast of champions!” and got some more laughs (pro-tip: whenever you eat anything unhealthy you can almost always get a laugh by calling it the breakfast of champions).
If you can make them laugh...

At first I read it as you said nice hair cut and started touching her hair. That would have been much better, besides for the phone call from HR.
