Good for you, but this doesn't make what I stated invalid. The motto nowdays is if we don't give it away, another dealer will.

I drive a '15 Silverado, and have no idea what the frick this is you're talking about..

Did some googling

ruck Does Not Run Right...Tachometer Bounces...Hesitation from the start...Going up hills is Jumpy...Skips and Bucks, Feels like truck is Misfiring...Transmission shifts are consistently Rough and Random... :ughdance: Dealership confirmed the problem after test driving and they then found TSB #PIP5457C: Surge hesitation Chuggle Misfire Feeling With A Light Tip In - (Feb 10, 2017) which they believe match's the problem. The Dealership says GMC is aware of this (TSB #PIP5457C) the cause is unknown at this time. Do Not Know How Long It Could Take To Get A Fix. :nonod: I called GMC customer assistance and requested a replacement or buyback they opened up a case number for me. They next day GMC customer assistance denied any kind of replacement, trade assistance, or buy back. Closed my case because they do not know what the cause is at this time and do not have a fix for the problem. I was told I must drive the truck (AS IS) until such time a fix is available. They also encouraged me to exercise the Lemon Laws in my state if I wished to pursue a replacement or a buy back. :bs: Extremely unhappy with my first GMC Truck and that's a shame because it’s a beautiful truck It just happens to be a Lemon that runs like Crap... Just keep driving (AS IS) is not what I paid for...I hope someone else has any insight to how to fix this problem. I hope others will post there concerns as well so we can get these trucks fixed or replaced... :flag:

As stated earlier, I audited dealerships. They often take losses on trucks in order to get kick backs for selling a certain number of trucks in a month. Markup is not as high as the common person thinks for new cars.....

Plus with manufacturer rebates, the dealership loses nothing.

No one cares. All we want is the lowest price possible. If that means you have to take a loss so you can revert back to one then so be it.

Correct. Just saying that they do in fact sell trucks for less than what "they paid for them" often on new vehicles

And they usually will. If you arent a total schmuck, truck buying usually is quick and easy. They often give you a great deal right away as they are trying to move them.

Car buying was different for whatever reason. They seemed to sell cars for higher markup

I audited dealerships as well. They will not make one move that loses them money. They actually make more by “taking a loss” to meet sales quotas

This has probably been stated, but I’m not reading 9 pages to see. I have a Tundra, so I’ll both shite on and praise them in the same post.

Tundras are solid, reliable and hold their resale extraordinarily well. However, the downside is that they largely don’t have the frills and options that most half ton trucks have on the market nowadays at their pricepoint.

For what I paid for my Tundra SR5, I feel like it should have stuff like leather, backup sensors, sunroof, remote start, a 110 outlet, and/or blind spot sensors.

Sheerly from an interior standpoint, Toyota is significantly lagging behind Ford and GM, especially with regard to in-cab technology.

TL;DR version - I like my Tundra but would buy Ford or GM if I had to do it over again.

That's exactly the point he's making...

He put "take a loss" in quotes to reflect that... They take the upfront "loss" but gain more in kick backs to make it not a true loss.

Sorry, he put “less that what they paid for them” in quotes, but the point remains the same.

I never said they don’t sell below cost. I said they don’t lose money by making the sale like they want you to believe

He said the exact same thing dude. You’re arguing semantics.

He’s saying they “take a loss” upfront in order to receive more for hitting quotas.

But as the buyer, you are in fact getting a truck for less than what the dealer paid for it........

That is a good deal.

This latest argument reminds me of the idiot last week who was triggered when I posted that dealers will show you their dealer invoice on a vehicle if you ask to see it because dealer invoice is not their true cost.

Actually there were a few such posters.
