Raleigh, NC police department released body cam video of the shooting from a few days ago

Bodycam video released by the Raleigh, NC police department following the shooting of Javier Torres.
There was outrage when he was shot by police a few days ago claiming he didn’t have a gun on him. In the video you can see the gun on him. This was all over a stolen pizza and he was running from the cops.

This video was when it happened. The lady claimed they shot a little unarmed boy in the back over a stolen $5 pizza. When I saw that I was like how the hell they shot a little kid over stolen pizza. Somebody called the police because somebody in the area was walking around with a gun. I didn’t know it was a 26 year old who was armed.

No but when you don’t have a license to carry and you run from the cops, that’s not a good look.

Just curious for our CC friends here as to the proper procedures the police take to determine that info.

Well when you’re running from said cops with a pistol in your hand, nobody really cares if you are licensed at that point, bc it’s moot.

You hand them your permit if needed. Some states it is a requirement to inform an LEO that you are carrying concealed as a permit holder if they are interacting with you in the course of official duties.

So he was shot from the front and you can identify a gun in his right hand. It is sad that someone has to die because they were being stupid, but what you want the cop to do? Had a split second to make that decision and it was the correct one.

It wasn't concealed... Open carry is legal in Louisiana, but not sure about where this happened. His main problem was running from the cops with a gun in his hand... They won't wait very long to use deadly force in that situation.

Isn't it considered an armed robbery if you have a gun on you when stealing something? Whether or not if you brandish said gun?

If you can see part of the gun it is not "concealed".
