Just curious for our CC friends here as to the proper procedures the police take to determine that info.
The question is was he holding the gun, touching the gun or even attempting to pull the gun.
I did not see him pull the gun out far enough to act like he was going to point the gun.
This does not look like a "good shooting" to me.
YES, I do have professional training and know what I am talking about.

Is it illegal to have a gun now?
Hey quick question- What exactly do you think his intentions were with that gun?
Cops did the right thing

Isn't it considered an armed robbery if you have a gun on you when stealing something? Whether or not if you brandish said gun?
It is not a reason to shoot someone.

He did not pull and aim it at officer which would be required to make it o.k. for officer to shoot him.

Have you ever had someone point a gun at you? Or even have a job that's notorious for being shot at while on duty?
While in everyday situations most everyone else encounters, yes, it may not "look like a 'good' shooting".
However, way too many times cops are quickly shot at, without provocation, so you need to understand the situation cops are in.

Yes, when running from police.....

Wasn’t the gun in his hand when he was shot? There’s absolutely no way you can run with a gun in your waist band of your pants without being in a holster.
Eta: yes the highlight slo Mo shows the gun when it is in his hand by his waist, but his shirt is down. It looks to me like he dropped the pizza and grabbed the gun to run. Again, I don’t know if he was trying to shoot anyone but more likely he was holding the gun or else it would fall out of his pants when running. Therefore, holding a gun and running from the police is grounds to be shot.

This is completely untrue.
There is no requirement that the gun has to be aimed at the cop.
You are just making shite up.

Hey dumbass. How about you actually click on the first link and actually watch the shooting happen? They literally pause and circle what you should be looking at so you don't make any stupid assumptions like you are doing.
The dipshit was running away from the cops with a gun in his hands. He runs around some bushes and turns the corner and there's another cop waiting for him, which looks like it surprises both the dipshit and the cop when they confront each other.
Since you're a professional, you tell me what a cop should do in that split second he sees a guy running from his other cop buddies, WITH A GUN IN HIS HANDS, straight at him? You want him to wait and see if the dipshit is going to point it at him before shooting?
Someone should have taught this dipshit how to interact with police officers. They should be taught what not to do if you want to live when interacting with police officers.
What this idiot did pretty much guaranteed he'd get shot. It was his choice when he decided to walk around town with a gun, and it was his choice when he decided to rob a pizza joint, and it was his choice to run from the police, and it was his choice to put the gun in his hands. He made the choice real easy for the police officers.

I'd love to compare expertise and training. It's a Good shoot all day long. If you have so much "training" in this field, then know better than the Monday morning quarterback a split second decision.

I would like to know what *professional training* he has in lethal force.
Because his statements are just completely wrong.
Or better yet....show me one court ruling that says police have to wait for the gun to be aimed at them before using lethal force.

It's illegal to use it in the commission of a crime and/or against officers attempting to lawfully arrest you.
