I've always raked and bagged. Someone told me I should let them just decompose into the soil? Anyone have insight?

Mulch them with your lawn mower.

I rake and then burn them, but we are under a burn ban so I haven't done shite. My wife is not amused, but I'm just trying to save the forest.

I've always just told my wife it insulates the grass during winter and decomposes in spring to fertilize the yard. I just make all that shite up so I don't have to listen to her bitching about the yard. Frick raking leaves.

It's kind of a personal preference, really. Are you one of those guys who prefers a well manicured lawn, or someone who just doesn't generally give a rats arse.

Walk through them, if they are dry and crunchy enjoy the sounds. Nature's music.

I'll get them up once the leaves are completely off the trees. I'm not one to rake my yard 16 times in the fall because a few leaves have fallen.

They'll eventually blow into the neighbor's yard.
