It predates Canes, not sure if there is something even older. It's...the same as the other 100 variants

They are moving on to the northeast, where fried chicken of any sort is almost non-existent . The newly opened store in Manchester NH still has lines around the Block a month after opening.

Had it for the first time last weekend. Someone brought a giant box for a group of about 12 people. Not sure how long their drive was, didn’t know there’s a store anywhere nearby. Even giving it that consideration I just don’t see appeal and I didn’t have to pay a dime.

Sauce was good, tenders could have been frozen and reheated for all I could tell. No flavor. Small.

I don't get canes often, but I was in a rush and got a box combo last week. Fingers were big, everything was hot, service was fast. It wasn't cheap, but it was pretty good and fast.

Yep, and this is usually the case. People on here love to say the tenders are small, and sometimes they are, but they’re consistently their normal size which is fine. I actually prefer the smaller tenders as I feel the crust is better on them.

think Canes is really interesting just because it's a common chain food item, they weren't first with it and didn't reinvent it in a meaningful way.

I don't think they dominate in quality, service, innovation or marketing. Boring menu, bland branding, etc. But it's a winner all the same.

Alll of this says you are wrong. Money is money bro wtf you mean..

I like Canes and their lemonade. Not sure why this board loves to trash it anytime it’s a topic. I’ve eaten it for years and I don’t think the tender sizes have changed that dramatically

Worked there for years, enjoyed the hell out of it, and I would never hesitate to eat there.

I still remember the first time I ate Canes. Was August 28, 1996. It has changed a lot since back then. Still good.

But their tenders get smaller and smaller.

And the prices higher and higher. One of most overrated places in fast food

How’s their Chicken Sauce?
So far, the best I’ve found is Sweet Baby Ray’s.

Against Chick-Fil-A , and Walmart brand which had a lot of wood pulp.

Note that the area circled in red isn't part of a large chicken strip. It is a tiny piece of chicken that was served to me as a strip.

Yeah the chicken is really small. Can’t blame them though. It’s so popular and evidently profitable.

Looking at your picture, I’ve had the same experience at Canes and Guthrie’s.

Chick fil a isn’t the be all and end all, but I’ll give them credit their portions and nugget or tender sizes are always consistent.

I (personally) place more value on consistency than a price point. I’m much happier to know what I’m getting, and then decide if the price is to my liking.

My typical canes experience:

Order 3 finger combo, extra sauce & extra bread (b.o.b) w sweet tea

slaughter the fries and bread with one of the sauce

wonder why the chicken fingers are so small and arse with no flavor and have the chewy tendon all throughout them

And somehow you've managed to group two of the chains with the shittiest fries in the US as being your go to restaurants. Not surprised.

First time for everything I guess. Never thought I'd hear any person say Chick Fila waffle fries are shitty.

Imagine my disappointment when I saw that their chicken "strips" are really chicken nuggets.

That happened to me and my daughter a few weeks ago. I got her a regular box and one of the "fingers" was that size. I had her count the fingers again to make sure they didn't give us two of those nuggets to make up 1 finger. But nope. They counted that as a finger.

This was Cane's on Perkins across from Perkins Rowe.
