what is funny, is that the racetrac in covington used to be ghetto back in the day. Now they built 2 new locations 2 miles from each other on hwy 190. I never stop in them bc I remember how trashy and ghetto they were in the 90' and early 2000s.

The one on Sherwood across from the Picadilly had gotten pretty run down. They fixed it up recently.

I think the company is trying to position themselves as a cleaner, nicer alternative to the Exxon/Chevron/Texaco branded stores that vary widely in cleanliness.

The best case an automaker can make for an electric car is not ever having to stop at those sketchy gas stations.

RaceTrac pizza is my go to there, it's pretty damn good for what it is.

RaceTrac, Wawa, & Buc-ees all by me. Gas station heaven over here.

They are all exactly the same. I used to work on a clean product tanker chartered by Marathon. We offloaded to anybody that marathon could get to buy it. That gas and diesel would be sent to Exxon, chevron, shell, and any pipeline company that had capacity.

Why are there tiers?

For example, which of these are the RaceTrac and Walmart brands? Pretty sure Murphy is the WM brand and it isn't on there.

It appears if they aren't licensed they aren't guaranteed to all have the same level of additives.

The gas is the same, yes. The additive and the amount of additive in the gas are where they differ.

QT gas is "Top Tier" certified. RaceTrac is not. Folks can argue about it all they want. My wife's old Jeep used to knock when we used RaceTrac gas. Quit using it and never had an issue again. Do what you want.

They used to have a brew called Molten Java that was so awesome I’d go out of my way for it but they changed it to some generic dark brew.

Bingo. I only fill up at Shell or Chevron, but will do a Buccees or Racetrac on a trip. A random fill up does not hurt. I asked a tanker truck driver refueling a Shell station about the gas being the same everywhere. He says that they have company auditors who take samples from the tanks, and if it is not to Shell's spec heads will roll.

RaceTrac rewards app I got 800 points still a king not a Sultan yet.
Then they always put the free medium soft drink or coffee coupons on there.

I use the Highland Road station no problem with bums or Louisiana Ave near I-10. The Hammond, LA; Paradis, and Amite City locations are ok.

Now Sherwood near I-12, Old Hammond, O’Neal, and Siegen are not ran as well or the poorly ran Racetrac’s.
