Subway and Quiznos both suck.
Which Wich and Potbelly are much better. Firehouse Subs too.
Disagree
You can get some good sandwiches at Subway. I don't like Quiznos though
Which Wich is not good; I haven't had anything there that I've liked. Firehouse is the bomb though

Significantly better advertising and the idea that Subway is "healthy".
$5 and I can go get a footlong. I know what subway has to offer and I know what it's gonna cost me. I know that they have a sub of the day for a combo meal.
I don't know jack shite about Quiznos...quite frankly because I didn't even know they existed anymore. I never see any commercials or advertising from them (if there is, it's extremely underwhelming). That and any Quiznos I've eaten at has been in a terrible location.

Same way Apple "does it"

Also, maybe it is just me but I tried Jimmy Johns twice and got 2 different sandwiches. Both were terrible...
The bread was hard/stale, the meat was skimpy, and Drew Brees was no where to be found.

Loved Quiznos.
The time and price was too much.

Quizno's is pure crap, good riddance

Yeah, their sammich's are too pricey, IMO

Every other time I see a Quiznos it's going out of business. But every time I eat at one, it's full of customers. I don't get it.

Good. Their food sucks.

Eating at a subway or Quiznos in the New Orleans area is a tragedy.

The ones I went to, I was usually the only customer and it's like the staff was surprised I was there. Is there still one by the 5? I lived on that on weekends.
Here are the problems I saw with Quiznos, despite their vastly superior taste:
1. Time to get sandwich was long, when it was busy, it took forever, when it wasn't busy, there was usually only one person working the entire store
2. Sandwiches aren't healthy. I love the Chicken Carbonara, but it's not any healthier than a Whopper.
3. Pricy, if I wanted a large sandwich, chips, and a drink, it would run me about 12 bucks versus 7 during $5 footlong times at Subway
The quality of the prime rib drastically declined. I stopped ordering it.
And apparently they screw over their franchisees.

you nailed it. I'm going to eat there now, but I have to admit, 12 bucks meal vs 8 is a deal breaker. I hate paying over 9-10 dollars for fast food.
5 dollar anything is really what made subway and their slogan " eat fresh".
Posted on 3/14/14 at 5:45 pm to Augustus
I like them, but they're just a bit too expensive for most people. It's still better than Subway.

Not shocking. This franchise went in the toilet really fast.

They really do have good-tasting subs, but their marketing was/is terrible.
From what I've heard, they just changed their whole business plan that punished their stores. It was more due to shitty management of their franchises rather than people not wanting to eat there.
