Question for the people who say Question on the people:

Why do you say Question on the people instead of Question for the people?

If you don’t put the buggy in the corral after use, you’re a low rent, self centered khunt.

Do you scrub their toilet when you are done shitting in it? After all, you should leave it like you found it right?

Or, does your virtue only go so far?

It's typically the same person who is responsible for both tasks. So why do you feel compelled to do part of their job but not all of it?

What is your need to have me put my cart in a stall?

Is it virtue? If so, see above.

Is it that you don't want dings on your car?

You can say I'm too lazy to push my cart 100 feet to a corral. I can say you are too damn lazy to park 100 feet further out where there are no loose carts.

You could have just typed “I’m an inconsiderate, lowlife frick,” and it would have saved you some time.

The litter in the parking lots is 10 times worse than the shopping cart issue. At least employees are assigned to manage the carts. But they’ll walk right past all the trash that these scum dump out of their car. It’s the customers causing the problem, but the store owner or property owners need to address it. I often scold the Walmart manager about the litter but nothing ever changes.

They are the leading evidence against a Libertarian ideal society working out... but I'd still risk it.

Oh, and grabbing a buggy right after someone leaves it in the parking spot and putting it up seems to be the best way to call them out, but the opportunity has to present itself in the right way.

Corralling those stray carts provides useful work for people who aren't qualified to do much else.

These are the same people who leave a package of frozen chicken on the bean aisle, or leave a tomato in the frozen food section, because they are too fricking sorry and lazy to put it back where they found it.

People who return their carts to the designated cart area are just sheep working for the big box stores.

It doesn’t really require a lot of time. You just say something to them on your way in or out of the store. You don’t go trolling the parking lot for them. But that is cool how you think of yourself

If this is all you have to worry about you really have a great life. Settle down Karen.

I guess a better question is, why are you reiterating yet another "peeve" that you've heard before and now adopted as your own as some sort of badge of OCD bad self-righteousness.

I have a feeling assbags like you will bitch about this and then walk right past all those buggies in the parking lot and grab one that has been put up.

You're just regurgitating what other mental midgets before you have spouted off. No one single shred of original thought. Thanks Danzig.

This is a different take on the peeve. The peeve is there, but the call of the thread is what to do about it, if anything. It’s a complicated question, because lowlifes gonna lowlife.

I’m sorry I had to explain to you that this isn’t the morning zoo.

You have angered me.

If the cart return is close, sure I'll put up the cart. If it's a far distance like halfway down the isle, well that's on the supermarket. I'm not walking a marathon to put up a cart. This is why they have cart guys employed. I'm contributing to the job economy of America! People on here that worry whether or not someone returns a cart are 1st class losers in my book. Btw, I never realized just how many karens we have on the OT. Quite surprising.

When I see it happen whether upon my arrival or leaving of a store I just yell “HEY!” as loud as I can while staring them down. I point and motion back and forth between the cart and the corral. It is effective every time whether man or woman. They usually just act surprised and like they forgot and go back to the cart and put it away. I have had many apologize. That is a power rush internally for me but I don’t show it. I just smile and give them a thumbs up and say “we are all in this together.”

Holding doors open for folks in public spaces is another litmus test as to manners.

Acknowledging the deed also says something about folks.

Life hack #64920: park next to the cart return barn. When you’re done taking all your bags out you won’t have very far to walk to return it.
