Heading to Br from Shreveport this morning and I will need to fill two very large containers with ice this afternoon around LSU and was wondering if anyone knows where tge nearest ice machine would be. Have looked online and can't find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Just do what the poors do: hit up the hospital ice machines with 50 gallon contractor bags.

I honestly don't know of any freestanding ice vending machines near campus. There's a few Circle K's with bagged ice. Winn Dixie on Burbank/Perkins as well

Lakeside Daiquiri on Burbank also has an "Ice Stop" (same concept) in their driveway.

I don't know if this counts as near campus, but there's one on Lee in the parking lot with the Brother's. Across the street from NY Bagel/Papa Johns. Its the free standing kind where you can fill a cooler.

This is your answer. Get off at College Dr and head straight. It will be on your left a couple of blocks before Highland Rd.

for the record, most of those ice machines have shitty ice with lots of air gaps that cause early melting

They have 1 right in front of Bergerons Meat Market on the Lobdell exit. Stop and get boudin, cracklins, and ice in 1 stop.

why not just stop at Ready Ice and buy bulk? They have block ice as well.

Check this

Not sure the Twice the Ice website is up to date. It shows a machine in the Drusilla Shopping Center and I know that one was removed at about the time Rouse's moved in to the center.

They may have returned, it would be great if they had.

Closest one I know of is at the corner of Acadian and Perkins.

However, there is a ReddyIce distribution center on Myrtle Walk that's a bit closer but I'm not 100% sure if they still sell it loose. They used to do loose, bags, and blocks.
