Get the expedition max. Better vehicle and more room due to independent rear suspension

Does the Yukon XL have and difference in 3rd row seating room?
I have a regular Yukon now with the new body style but our old Yukon XL (2013) had a drop down for your feet where as the regular Yukon the seat was mounted on the same level as where your feet are. Not sure if this is true for the 2014 and up.

Why would you cram more than 4 adults in one vehicle for a long road trip?
Take 2 cars or rent a party van.

A mercedes sprinter is by far the most practical vehicle for 6+ passengers.
But no soccer mom street cred with that. Lets soend twice as much in a Yukon XL

Yea pretty sure it is. The third row seat is mounted higher than where your feet sit.

How long a ride we talking ?

How many women on this trip? You won’t fit 3+ women’s luggage in there if you’re using the 3rd row.

We have taken some 7-10 hour trips with adults in the 3rd row of a Yukon XL and had no issues. Not as comfortable as the second row captains chairs but not bad. Throw in the drop down TV monitors and it’s not a bad way to drive.
I have 3 Yukon XLs in my driveway right now. I'll drive one till I die. Drive to West Texas several times a year, 11 hours give or take. When I'm not behind the wheel I'm in the 3rd row watching the DVD. Often the original Blazing Saddles. Im 6'4".

Exactly. Unless a small adult male or lady, it’s to cramped for leg room.

You need a van. Just get a van.

It’s supposed to sit 3 but I wouldn’t want to be three abreast as adults , 2 would be ok

Ours has captain seats on second row so the person or persons in the 3rd row can put their legs and feet through those bucket seats and stretch out. Like you, I’ve spread out, put on the headphones and watch a movie or two. Very comfy back there.
