Question for Joe Rogan podcast listeners.

Have any of y’all seen his standup? I’m a huge fan of the podcast but man his style of standup comedy is so absurd and doesn’t really make me laugh.

Yes, I am woke as frick, love ufc, know way to much about random low key stand-up comedy, and think Hollywood is bizarre.

He just makes shite up during his podcast. Factoids on wolves or space or the FBI, but he's just making shite up.

He's not great at standup. His podcast format is definitely his strong suit.

He's got some funny bits (like the one about the guy who jumped the fence and stormed the White House), but generally speaking he seems way too intense on stage. Like he does a retarded amount of coke and adderall and then walks out to tell jokes.

Wut? The ones I've listened to have been mostly 2-3 hours of a doctor or health or nutrition journalist or researcher talking.

There’s probably not a ton of successful comedians that DIDNT do a massive amount of coke and/or weed before going on stage.

Agreed. You’re not going to come to the OT and NOT find someone who thinks they have it all figured out.
Rogan doesn’t come of arrogant whatsoever. He doesn’t come off pretentious or as if he knows everything.
Now, I question a lot of Joey Diaz’s stories, but real or not, they’re entertaining and hilarious

I like his podcast. He talks about comedy a lot and has a lot of comic friends, but I don’t know him for that.
I listened to the full James Hetfield show a few days ago. Evidentially James is into beekeeping. James said a few thing about it and tried to change the subject by saying “I could talk an hour about this but I doubt anyone wants to hear it.” Rogan said, “they’ll listen.” James geeked out on bees for a solid 45 minutes.
