My daughter says it’s because she has lost earrings taking it on and off.

To everyone saying they just forgot about it, I beg to differ. All I can think about when wearing a mask is... that I have a fricking mask on. I think people in their cars just feel safer with a mask on. It makes no sense, but if they want to wear it in their car, that's their prerogative.

I hope I never get to a point where I forget I’m wearing one of those things. I feel awful wearing them especially in the heat.

I wear one when going through a drive through (such as at Starbucks or Chick Fil A) so I don't spread anything to the fast food workers. I sometimes forget to take it back off after I pull away.

Then I feel like an idiot because wearing a mask while alone in a car is pointless.

Most of my reasons have already been said, but I'll throw mine out there too.

I don't care enough to continue to screw with it by taking it on and off if I need to go more than one place.

I've been uncomfortable enough in my life, that a mask, isn't exactly a make or break discomfort. It's like I don't need to bundle up if I'm running to the car for take out in 50 degree weather; I just deal with the discomfort for a bit.

If it is dirty, I'd rather touch it less.

Finally, I know it probably pisses some people off and that's somewhat entertaining for me. Thanks for letting me know it bothers you; it helps make me smile.

It's the sign by which Illuminati recognize each other.

I can't imagine being that distracted as to not remember to take that thing off as soon as I could. If you see me driving with mine on, I'm too drunk to be driving.

I love the older women that wear masks in their cars while they are at a drive through. They try to order, end up screaming unintelligible gibberish because the girl taking the order can't understand her, but the girl is also wearing a mask, so the old lady can't understand her either.

It is like watching two morons who speak different languages trying to argue. It is always a crapshoot who gives up first. Does the old lady give up and drive away? Or, does the girl say "frick it" and come outside. If the girl comes outside does the old lady roll up her window and refuse to let her get close? Does she do a burn out as she's leaving the restaurant?

In my personal experience, from watching this from one car back, the girl taking the order broke first. But the yelling continued through the rolled up window for a couple of minutes before granny left her in a cloud of befuddlement and Goodyear tire smoke.

This. I know some people that don't take it off until they get home so they can wash their hands immediately after removing. This is actually probably best practice.

It’s so the red light cameras can’t identity me.
I put a mask on my license plate also.

If I'm wearing one outside of any store, it's because I'm stoned and forgot to take it off

What if they are on their way to give a high risk person a ride? Or an uber driver?

I just forget it's there. But mostly.

Like most people, I like to wear a mask while I masturbate. I obviously do that while driving sometimes. And Saran Wrap is pretty cheap so it’s really no big deal.

Not as bad as someone going for a run or walk outside, by themselves, with a stupid mask on.
