Question for Bovada gamblers

I won a good little bit this football season and withdrew in late nov. My check came in the mail and it was from Canada and I signed it and put it in my checking account.
Well this morning I got a call from my bank (Trustmark) here in Mississippi saying the Canadian bank had international issues and wouldn’t accept the check Bc it was from gambling. I told them it was from purchases but no luck.
I have used Bovada in the past but checks came from Singapore bever had a problem with them.
The bank is sending back my check to me. What do you guys advise next? Should I try a check cashing place ?

I've been questioned before by my bank for the same reason. Told them it was dividends from a foreign subsidiary or some shite and threatened to close my account if they didn't take care of it. They places some sort of provisional hold on it for a week or two but finally cleared.

They’ll do wire transfers as well, or so I’ve heard.
I set up an account with my bank specifically to accept wire transfers. I never keep money in it, so any Nigerian princes who get the info can’t take anything out.

PROBABLY won't accept a foreign check. You can try if you are off of work and have time to kill. Call Bovada and tell them what happened and try to set up a wire transfer

Probably not a good idea to post on a public message board admitting to your illegal gambling and that you lied to your bank about the source of the funds to try to get them to accept the check. Good luck with your upcoming visit from the FBI.

I’ve heard it told that other sites (not Bovida) send winnings via pre-loaded Visa card that work without a problem...you may want to ask them if that’s an option.

I don't know if a wire transfer is the option, but if it is, it's a pretty easy process.
You simply give the sender your checking acct number, routing number and your banks name/address. (all of this is on the front of one of your checks.)
I'd do a search on some of the bigger betting sites. This can't be too hard or they wouldn't survive.
