It seems unfair but they aren't forcing you to go or participate. Just eat the Nuggets and leave

Exactly. But that never occurred to the OP.

It was optional. But did they invite other religions and non-religions and offer them the same opportunities? No, because they are pushing an agenda that doesn't belong in public schools.

That shouldn't be in public schools.

Assumption on your part. You are acting based on your opinion of what you think would happen. Like so many people you are filling in the blanks to your opinions with your own assumptions and not facts. And then you are making decisions based on what you are telling yourself would happen and not the actual facts.

No you don't, you are assuming and you are bitching about that assumption. You want equal rights, but you won't even attempt to gain them.

Who "told me" to be mad about it? WTF are you talking about?

Well, it was a little whinny of you to bring this to the OT as we are a bunch of heathens.

Did they invite this guy, or did he make a request? You seem to be awfully outraged over a hypothetical.

Your son sounds like a pussy, ain't no one bribing kids. shite, you think those kids going to those lectures are saving themselves for marriage, reading and praying every night or just there for the Nuggets.

Really? Did they invite the priest or did he approach the school himself? See you are doing the same thing in assuming what happened versus knowing what happened. So many people get mad or choose a side without knowing the actual facts. I would be willing to bet the Catholic Church or the priest approached the school and not vice versa.

Yeah…either that, or I'm using common sense and examining what has happened to others in the past who have done the same. Google is your friend - educate yourself.

Oh the horror. Something good being taught in school (as an option for one stinking day) instead of sex, aids,Transgender, gays, and evolution being taught. No wonder why 'merica sucks and why kids have no respect for anyone or anything.

I'm agnostic but my answer is contingent on whether sauce was provided with the nuggets and, if so, what type.

Exactly, did other religions and non-religious people ask the school if they could participate in a similar fashion?

Actually, I do have accurate information about multiple invitations extended to the religious community by the administrations of several schools. I have friends who work in the front offices.

I'd be more concerned about letting Jesus drive your son's bus. He's 2000 years old, has never driven any sort of motorized vehicle, and has no license.

Labeling your own opinion as common sense is a common logical fallacy.
