Why do people and coworkers hang out away from work? You spend alot of time during the week together and on the weekend the last thing I want to do is hang out again. I can see if they want to "do it" after hours but they do not want to "do it" then why do they want to hang out. If they want to be "friends" on facebook I guess that is fine

I hangout/play golf with one of my coworkers. We're the same age and into the same shite. He's one of my buddies, it's not like he's my wife, I play golf with him on a Saturday or go watch a game. You sound like the weird a-hole at work that everyone hates.

What do you have against your co-workers? I just moved up here and needed to figure out my bearings with good places to golf, restaurants, bars, etc. Easiest way to do that is with co-workers that are the same age, especially when you don't know many people in the area.

I have nothing against them. It is just that I see them enough during the week that I need a break for a couple of days

In ones life, there are people who are coworkers, friends, and family among other things. There is no rule that a person can’t fall into more than one of those categories.

I have my own office and don’t work with them 8 hours a day, so it’s not a big deal to see them outside work

Sometimes one is blessed to work with cool-arse people.

And what’s the deal with airline food? Is that stuff disgusting or what?

I guess most people are busy working when at work and not socializing.

Nearly all of my closest friends are former coworkers. As you move up the ladder though, it’s harder to make friends at work.

As someone else mentioned, you’re probably the weird guy that nobody likes
