No doubt. I just always bring cash to any event that is taking place at a venue that's not used to having a lot of people buying stuff. Just in case, you know.

I hear you, I always carry a cash reserve too, probably just because I'm old, but sizable airshows are almost like carnivals or county fairs these days with all of the concessions and different things that are for sale/demo out there

No, but you can leave them in your car and walk back to it if you want

free admission and reentry

What kind of traffic should I expect Sunday getting out?

I love them at the air show but hate when they show up in SE Houston to begin practicing during the week when I am at work. I have to wear ear plugs in the office, and for sure, bring them for the air show or get the anus prepped for ear ringing for weeks.

Shouldn't be a problem if you're this guy:

The weather should be really nice Sunday. Bring a picnic lunch and find a place to sit outside and let the traffic roll out a bit. Maybe catch some of the later flyouts while everyone else sits in traffic. One way or another, you're going to be there a while.

An absolute cluster frick. I hate traffic and large crowds but I'm pumped about the air show. It's an awesome sight , especially if you've never been to one before

It's kind of like after a big LSU game. I'd rather sit around the parking lot for a while, listen to the post game, BS with my friends, eat and drink; rather than be sitting in traffic, cursing and banging the steering wheel. I get home a little bit later, but it's way less stressful.

IIRC, the Blue Angels fly back to P-cola about 90 minutes or 2 hours after their performance. It's cool to see them launch and head east together.

Is anyone else super pumped about the air show?

Other than commercial flights, I havent been around aircraft in like 7 years. Didnt even realize it had been that long.

Got a setup that will allow my lil dude to hear the pilots.

Ready to feel the rumble.

I'm ready too. My 2 year old loves planes and is excited. I'd love to have a radio to hear the pilots

bet you'd show up if they were having a MiG flight demonstration, comrade!

I love airplanes... of any kind. The blues are awesome. So are the thunderbirds. However having seen SU-27's fly, those bad boys are also the shite. Say what you want about the Russians, but those mofos make some hella good looking airplanes.

They've been practicing the last few days, and they're awesome to watch. They had something going on today, I'm guessing some type of pre-show, but traffic near the South Gate was ridiculous. Backed up almost to Dairy Dip for those that are familiar with the area. The layout will be different for the weekend, though.
