I'm 6'5" tall and the whole reason I'm back in steerage with you is because there are no more seats with better leg room available on the plane. People have the right to lean their seat back. I have the right to accidentally jar the seat with my knee at regular intervals throughout the flight.

Find another flight if the seats you want aren't available.
Trying to act like someone can't recline their seat is absurd. If your comfort is that important, find a better seat on another flight.

Honestly, that is nothing more than the illusion of reclining. It doesn’t make me any more comfortable at all so I just don’t even bother.

I fly a fair amount and I can’t remember one instance when at least premium economy wasn’t available. However, I usually fly in first class so I’m not bothered at all by the seat in front of me leaning back.

If the person in front of you does it you kind a have no chance but to do it as well. It’s when they push it back while the flight is still boarding that smacks of passive aggressiveness.

Same. I sit pretty erect anyway. The first thing people do when they sit in my car is lean the seats back because they're all pretty much 90 degree angle.
I don't care if someone reclines since I'm 4'9" and usually sit in a ball or indian style, but I don't do it to others behind me since they need the room much more than I do.
