PSA: EverestNoFilter is back on Snapchat (continuous update thread)

2 guys, Adrian Ballinger and Corey Richards, plan to summit Mount Everest without oxygen over the next few weeks and document their every move via Snapchat. I watched it last year when Ballinger had to turn back just a few hundred feet from the summit, but Richards made it to the top.
They just made it to base camp as of this morning.
Should be a fun adventure to watch again and I recommend anyone with Snapchat to check it out.

Adrian Ballinger (adrianjb) is one of the coolest accounts i've followed.
The guy literally skis and climbs mountains for a living.

I never stopped following them. Looking forward to to seeing this adventure, are they gonna try to summit again with no o2?

I'll try to use this thread as a continuous updating in game thread, but I'm not screen shoting the whole thing
So they're currently at base camp which is right around 17,200 feet of elevation I believe. Flew in over the last couple days and drove for another couple days. 3 or so different flight and airports, hundreds of miles by car.
The last few months they've been training back home in Reno for Ballinger, and in think Bozeman for Richards. Nearly daily hiking to peaks and skiing down, or hiking 2,000-4,000 feet of elevation change with 60+ pound packs. It's interesting seeing them train, but this is what they do. They're some of the most physically and mentally fit people in the world.

I followed their summit attempts last year. Will do the same again this year.

So they made it to advanced base camp (ABC) as of this morning. Approximately 21,000 feet. The craziest part is they ran across a stray dog and gave him some food at that elevation. How the frick does a dog get stranded at 20k+ feet and just live life normally!?
Overall it's a pretty steady trip. Corey is pretty negative about his training, he was last year as well, and it's being reinforced by his coach saying his stress levels are too high. Meanwhile Adrian is as steady as a 14y old beating his meat.
If all goes according to plan they will move from base camp(17k') to advanced base camp(21k') when needed, and never need intermediate base camp(19'k) again.

They have service way up there??

Most people die coming back down off the summit.

Satellite phones provided by their sponsors.

Thoughts thus far: Ballinger has a weird accent. Corey isn't going to make it.

Made to 21,000ft and they seem like they're struggling a bit, i'm sure they'll be fine after a few days though.
Corey is looking worse for wear compared to Adrian
