Was indicted for corruption in January

and

Claimed racial profiling on of FB account (back in June) and had already missed 75% of legislative rollcalls already this year.

quote:

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Travis County prosecutors say in a court filing that state Rep. Dawnna Dukes spent more than $51,000 on an online psychic, appeared for work at the Capitol impaired and hid a cellphone from investigators. The filing this week was provided by prosecutors ahead of her Oct. 16 misdemeanor corruption trial and is meant to inform Dukes' attorneys of the allegations prosecutors will assert during the trial. The Austin Democrat is accused of giving a taxpayer-funded raise to a legislative aide to cover gas money for shuttling Dukes' daughter back and forth from school.

This just sounds stupid. If you want to bill the people for psychic consultants you should at least have them come into the office.

i will raise you my former tea party Rep. Molly White.

quote:

During a Capitol forum on radical Islamic terrorism, former state Rep. Molly White, R-Belton, called a political reporter a “low-life son of a bitch” for asking a Republican lawmaker whether there would be any upcoming legislative forums regarding threats posed by radical Christianity and Judaism.

quote:

White, who was elected in 2014 and served one term, came under fire two years ago for asking visitors to her district office to sign a pledge of allegiance to the U.S. during Texas Muslim Capitol Day, when Muslims come to the Capitol to visit and discuss legislation with their local representatives.

quote:

She left an Israeli flag on her desk and instructed her staff to tell any Muslim who wandered in “to renounce Islamic terrorist groups and publicly announce allegiance to America and our laws,”

quote:

White also authored a bill to allow businesses to deny goods or services to a person based on “sincerely held religious beliefs.”

quote:

The Equality Texas story that White posted on social media notes that she refused to “meet with LGBT constituents.” She also authored or co-authored 10 anti-LGBT bills – many that appeared unconstitutional. Those bills did not pass.

she was a shite storm.

I’m as conservative as they get but she was a shite lord and purposely antagonistic to gays and Muslims.

I may not have a strong preference to either, but I’m not going out of my way to be an arse to them.

The nutjobs in Austin are so plentiful now it takes a real gem to make the news like this.

Congrats, Dawnna.
