If I lived in my parents time, I would have walked into the dean's office of a med school and not left until he gave me a full scholarship for my $2500 education.

Seems like such a waste to throw them away
You’re wasting water washing them.

For example, I do tend to talk to strangers and to store clerks, etc. But it’s not something my parents did, it’s just something that my generation (Gen X) does because we lived in a more social time period
I catch myself doing this far more since my mid 40s.

Bc the parking commercial just makes sense. I’m not going full on Clark Griswold. Buuut when I park at a game, I definitely back in and assess the easiest path to exit
You don't even have the insight that this is the problem. It's about becoming old. Young people don't care about the parking stuff.

I’m Gen X also and am glad to have had a great time from that. Being a child of the late 70’s and 80’s was nice!

The funniest one was "We don't have to print the internet". I laughed so hard at that. The Mrs. didn't find it funny at all since I tell her that often.

Parking is the key. I agree with that more and more as I get older.

I’ll catch myself and tell my ol lady, “damn, this could end up on that ‘becoming you parents’ commercial.

Heading to the Pelicans playoff game there was no on street parking spots at any meters like there normally is when I park there for regular season. (Yay, winning brings fans) Parked in a surface lot and started the trek. Walking down a street of cars at meters it comes out my mouth, “ will you look at this? You could fit a whole other car, maybe two, in these spots if these guys just pulled up closer to one another instead of giving their Ford Fusion room to breath.” It damn near stopped me in my tracks.

A sandwich stored in a ziplock for a few hours is no reason to toss the bag. Just saying

“I packed so many delicious snaaacks!”

“Mmmh Mmmh, no.”

I was always surprised to see the rack of chips behind her with just about every flavor of Zapps.

I love them. One of the few insurance company commercials that are watchable.

My favorite commercials. All of them are my dad or myself. I have some that I need to send in to be used.

If you printed out directions to get here, then you’re in the right place.

That one was spot on.

I have started to turn off all the lights in the house even though it costs like $0.25 a year to keep those sumbitches on

Both sets of grandparents would store or freeze everything in milk cartons. Everything from fish (after fileting) to chili to chicken spaghetti. They’d break out a milk carton or have a fish fry when us grandkids arrived.
