Cajundome should try and get them back. Probably wouldn’t work if hockey season is same time as college basketball season.
I have no doubt bunch of coonasses and college kids would pack out a game with cold beer and ice violence.

To any of you that never went….The Kingfish games were a good time. This is my king to be a solid event for families.

Maybe the Louisiana Red Sticks. Otherwise that’s like calling them The Baton Rouge Baton Rouges or the Red Stick Red Sticks.

Last I checked, Baton Rouge was 178th on the NHL's expansion priority list.
The players get paid. That's what makes it a pro team.

They are paid to play a game. Therefore professional athletes.
Hard to expand the NHL into mid sized markets in the south. Hockey is primarily a white blue collar Midwest/northeast game.
