what in this video leads you to this conclusion? It first hit outside the airport fence and crossed the road/fence towards the runway area to which you see.

Dennis Dutton one of the guys on the plane was the pilot, a retired Air Force pilot and also continued with Delta Airlines.

I have a buddy that has a TBM 700 and my wife won’t let me fly in it. One of my good friends was the sole survivor of a plane crash in College Station a few years back and now I’m not allowed in anything with one engine.

Is she gonna take your allowance away if you don’t obey her or something?

We had a B-52 flyover at a UK football game and they came from Barksdale!

I trust most military pilots

frick no. Military pilots are easily among the worst when it comes to lacking flight hours. Their standards for safety and aviation experience are extremely low compared to airline pilots. Most of them are amateurs at best.

That black hawk pilot in the DC plane crash barely had 500 hours of flight experience. None of the big airlines would even consider applicants unless they have at least 5,000+ hours logged.

Even if you only consider legacy airlines “big”, many pilots are hired with fewer than 5,000 hours, including former military pilots.

Is it possible that they died on initial impact before the fire got them?

Thinking about those two children burning alive kills me.

To fly as a commercial airline pilot, you will need 1,500 hours of experience, which can be earned in two and a half years. ATP's accelerated commercial pilot ...

something akin to that happened a 2-3 yrs ago in Calif. twin prop plane loses one engine on takeoff at small airport and controller started talking to the pilot about immediately returning which he tried and failed. fly straight out. gain altitude. then decide.

now, that was one engine failure. was Biffle's plane both? have they said?

Do you realize how incorrect you are? Give me a former military jet pilot all day, every day. Those people know what they’re doing. Are some of them crazy? You betcha, but if they’re talented enough to go to war for us, they can damn well fly a commercial airliner

That’s the minimum requirement for applying. Competitive applicants will need much more than that for the legacy airlines.

Possible Mexican military/medical crash around the Galveston Causeway that was transporting child burn victims.

Haven’t seen much on it yet.

if we break it into 8 hour workdays that’s only 625 days of flying.
