I think in addition to breaking into the house, someone hacked his wife's Venmo account and wiped it out as well just a day or two after the crash.

What's up with all these private jets over the last few years? Almost never heard of issues

According to surveillance footage, a woman is seen walking through his home. She appeared to know where the security cameras were placed. Detectives claim to have identified someone who matches the woman's description. She was reportedly identified during a celebration of life ceremony for the Biffle family.

It was obviously an inside job. She knew he had thousands of dollars in cash at his house, and she knew exactly where to find it.

If you watch pilot debrief on youtube you'll learn a ton. Mostly it's a combination of pilot errors. Here's his assessment.

Inadequate Crew Qualification: The pilot in command (PIC) had a "second in command required" limitation on his type rating, but the right-seat pilot was not properly qualified for that role, providing limited assistance during the emergency.Improper

Emergency Procedure: Instead of staying in the air to sort out issues, the pilot attempted a quick return to the airport (RTB) after a reported engine issue shortly after takeoff.

Failed Setup (Too
Low/Slow): The aircraft was positioned too low and too slow for a safe landing, with reports suggesting flaps and gear were deployed too early, causing excess drag.

Possible Baggage Door Failure: Evidence suggested a baggage door may have opened, damaging the engine and elevator, which contributed to the loss of control.

Task Saturation: The pilot appeared to be overwhelmed, failing to make a Mayday call and improperly managing the high-workload, single-engine, heavy-weight approach

Wonder if it's the ex wife, seems like they had a bit of a messy breakup.

Likely due to the inadequate crew issue. Couldn't risk just going to another airport and making an emergency landing because he'd have probably lost his license.

Likely the reason there was no "Mayday" or more of a description of their issues, the pilot just tried to swing around and land again, without causing too much of a stir, but couldn't make it.

I hope not. They had a teen daughter together that also died in the crash. Grief affects everyone differently,, so who knows what stage of anger or grief she could have been going through in the aftermath.

Pilot debrief
fell down this yt rabbit hole this week.
It has basically killed this little dream I had of one day getting a pilot’s license
My dad flew in the military and had a private license for a few years after. One rough flight in the 80s and my Mom made him quit. I need to tell her thank you.
Watching the videos I realize it is a job for meticulous boy scouts only. If you are a person who ever gets absentminded or overconfident it’s going to end very badly sooner or later
