Princeton is nice and so is the surrounding area.

Princeton is a great town! New Jersey is full of great townships.
New Jersey does nothing well other than collect exorbitent taxes, create traffic, and invent reasons for toll roads.
There's literally nothing positive about New Jersey. Having spent some (a lot of) time there, it's safe to say that I'd be totally fine with jettisoning the entire state out of the union.

Princeton cos it would sound fancier.

I hear Princeton is the best undergrad degree in the world.
But MIT since the graduate school…you need a PhD. JPL would be the ultimate goal, but the National Labs like Sandia, Lawrence, Fermi…would be a good safety net.

Not a simple answer.
Depends on field, but if tech/engineering based MIT wins hands down. Also, what level do you aspire? Master, PhD, etc.
If you are truly blessed to have the opportunity, it’s hard to go wrong.
Best of luck!!!!

I'd go to Princeton and not get a stem degree

I've never met a MIT undergrad who liked it. They all hated it.
I've never met a MIT grad student who didn't think grad school was glorious.
Princeton for undergrad, MIT for grad school.

It really depends on which supper club you can join.

Northern NJ does not equal southern NJ.
You’d be shocked at how nice some areas of NJ are once you get out of the NYC metroplex.
