2008, it was $600 per person. 2001 I think was 1K per person. And yes, one had to claim that as income when tax time came around.

No way they agree to a straight up checks only bill.

This might make Trump look good. They would rather frick America than help the President.

Personal needs would include bills, and food/shelter. But I'm not a fan of just giving out money itself, as I don't trust people to use it responsibly and stick their hands out again for more if they didn't use it for personal needs only.

Big this!

Provides for more accountability. I hated when they went from government cheese to food stamps or snap cards. Cash is even worse.
