This is FALSE. that HR person does not know what they are talking about.

Like many people have said in this thread, there is a lot of information she has not revealed that would help determine her options.

She WOULD NOT be able to go on healthcare.gov and get subsidy,if she is offered insurance through her employer(according to the law).

Few questions
How long has she lost coverage?

How long has she worked as a teacher, being benefits eligible?

Whats your end game with all this? You the daddy

I wonder who got his "friend" prego. Hope it wasn't OP, but I'm skeptical of the overall story.

Sorry sir, that you're pregnant with no insurance. Good luck. And may sir, when you give birth , may your baby be born healthy.

Frick that dude. I'd rather die from the flu and stick it to the man than pay for freaking health insurance.

ETA: I'm trying to sound like a hardass but I signed up for it through work like on Tuesday. $82 freaking dollars a month. That's one less night a month that I can do coke now.

Damn some of you are relentless. I'm sure you've never fricked up in your life. I'm trying to help someone who's in a bad situation. I do thank all who had legitimate responses though.

Didn't read all 6 pages so done know if this has been covered.

Her ex who was carrying insurance before and lost it should have qualified as a life changing event, I.e.- marriage, child birth, loss of insurance through other means, and should supersede open enrollment.

I know where I work it does anyway.

OK this may not be a popular option with her but she needs to put this baby up for adoption. Unmarried, working, already has one baby, only makes $27k, and young enough you refer to her as girl? Give this baby some kind of chance at a good life and do a closed adoption.

Dont be disconnected. Somebody is trying to get help.

Where I was raised, we had this little tradition called "marriage." It was to avoid another little tradition called "hellfire."

I've read most of this, and from the sounds of it the poor dumb bastard that's still married to her is going to get fricked. I haven't figured out how yet, but he will.

She's got one guy that she's convinced to stay married to her while she's out fricking other guys without protection, and another guy knighting for her on here trying to get her arse out of a bind. Do we even know who the kid is for?

This is ridiculously cheap, you should probably not bitch about it. Trust me it can get way worse.
