When I worked for the government, every year out lab equipment had to get calibrated. One year they were so proud to have a woman owned company come and do it. Administration sent out all kinds of emails about it. How happy they were to support minority businesses. Well, she screwed everything up. We had to hire another company to come in and recalibrate everything.

My buddy's dad owns an engineering firm in BR and he's part Native American. They do well. I work for a company where the owner opened a side company doing the exact same thing and he named a disabled vet majority owner. He also does well.

At what point can I claim to be a minority if,say, I'm a white male living in a predominately nonwhite city? Just a hypothetical question.

I'm sick and tired of how hard it is to be a white male in one of the richest countries in the world.

It is legal because our "betters" have deemed it so.

We are like cows. That's just something our "betters" have determined the herd in the next pasture gets that we don't, happens on farms all the time.

Yeah, it's so tough to be a white male. Higher salaries, less time in jail for same crime, more likely to get hired, more likely to get a loan, less likely to be told a rental unit does not exist when it actually does, more likely to be shown all homes available in your price range by a realtor, more likely to be taken seriously, less likely to be pulled over, less likely be be searched for drugs when drug use is equal, blah blah blah. I don't know how you do it.

ETA: more likely to get into Reggies. ;-)

Can claiming to be transgendered get you minority status? If so there will be a lot of fakes getting into government contracts and you will hear minorities squeal.

You forgot to mention that white people also get to pay for welfare, EBT, Medicaid, AFDC, and a host of other government programs enjoyed by some groups of minorities. Also, when do these people you describe ever start taking any responsibility for being put in jail, lack of job skills, education, etc?

So you don't really believe in equality then, right? Just like all the other equality bullshitters. You're ok with discriminate against whites just because they may receive preferential treatment in other areas.

Seems like open and shut discrimination to me.
Sometimes its about economics, not race. For example, Urban Enterprise Zones can be every bit as effective in economic revitalization as tax credits to any industry. All depends on the application.

Point me to where I said or even implied that. Being pro-equal treatment and anti-discrimination does not mean I am for preferential treatment, affirmative action, etc. in fact, it means I am not.
