Being a single mom usually helps no one. Dan Quayle couldn't spell potato, but he got the single mom thing right.

Also, when do these people you describe ever start taking any responsibility for being put in jail, lack of job skills, education, etc?

Neither black nor whites on welfare etc. take responsibility. It works both ways.

And work for people who suspect you from the beginning of being incompetent, incapable, lazy and unworthy from the beginning? You call that gold?

Apply for a job at my company and I'll treat you that way from the moment you sign on. We'll see how gold you feel.

And this is why I hate the concept of affirmative action and anything like it. Meritorious work is ignored, while mistakes and imperfections are seen as incompetence.

It breeds resentment and distrust, and it assumes that marginalized groups are somehow inferior.

Yet, the numbers state that proportionality does not

Huh? Are you saying that proportionally whites on welfare take responsibility? And that the numbers show that whites who lack job skills and are on welfare take responsibility?

Or are you saying that proportionally more blacks are on welfare and unemployed , even though more whites are on welfare, unemployed, and lack education?

The current holy grail of government contracting is to be an Alaskan native who is a disabled veteran. They bid competitively and they win. Period.

My wife is the majority owner of our company. It ticks two boxes as she is also part Cuban. Woman and minority owned carries some weight. We'll eventually get our 8a status if government contracting is something we pursue. Right now commercial business keeps us pretty busy but we are starting to subcontract for some government contractors.

How? Do they get food stamps too? I normally just structure the business's operating agreement to give the minority/woman "control" as defined under the la so that they can qualify for the preferential treatment.

This isn't a sheer numbers argument, though. There are way more whites in the USA so of course there will be more whites on welfare. The only way to truly gauge it is to look at what percentages of a race is on welfare.

Care to guess who wins that?

IIRC nearly 1/3rd of blacks were on welfare while only like 6% or something of white people were.

Yes. His stuff is pretty amazing to read(not saying I agree with him). I first started following him during his debacle with kip a few months ago.

They are dealing with HUD, Fannie Mae, FHA, etc agreements. Don't get me to lying about it because he explained it to me a while back and I only half way paid attention but he claims it absolutely makes a difference.

In a previous life I was a government contractor in DC... I worked for a "Minority Owned" small consulting firm... Moreover, we had other small business certifications... at one point, we had 8(a), HUBZONE, and SBVOB... the eligibility for RPF's we had was insane... we would just print money.

Then 8(a) ended and HUBZONE did what it was supposed to do and the area flourished and they removed the identifier...

I don't know what any of you know about the world of Government Contracting, but it's super cutthroat and small businesses need all the entitlement they can get... Companies like Booz, Deloitte, etc. will take a loss on the engagement just to build the relationship with the agency.

I don't miss that life for one second.
