Prairieville hold-up caught on video; gunmen robbed smoke shop on Airline Highway

Just because a young black male in a hoodie and facemask approaches you, it doesn't mean he's up to no good

Unrelated, but I'm sitting outside Kohl's on Siegen Lane today. Work truck, backed into a shady spot taking lunch. I see a dark blue Nissan rolling towards me with a BF running to catch it. Car doesn't stop, but she reaches the rear passenger door, jumps in, and they speed off. I then see a plainsclothes dude that had been chasing her. He was holding a pair of handcuffs and walking back towards Kohl's.

I continued to shitpost on TD, whereupon the car returns about 10 minutes later and she jumps out. The car waits while she retraces her steps and apparently looks for a cell phone that she had dropped. She retrieves the phone, jumps back in the car (not rolling this time), and they pull off again.

I deduced it was an attempted (or actual?) shoplifting scheme. Funny that they had to come back to the scene for the phone after the fact. Funnier still that NPR ran a story a few minutes later about "shopping while Black" or something--about how black females get targeted as potential shoplifters.

Very dark eyes, medium skin color Hispanic or light skinned black.

At :15 sec. through :18 it looks like a couple of dreadlock hair ends sticking out on forehead from a shower cap.

But he was turning his life around...he was a good kid, always helping others...he loved his kids...
