I am genuinely curious about this.

I am constantly smelling weed coming from the outside and in through my AC while driving - even on the interstate.

I thought you could not drive while under the influence of weed?

Seems like people are driving high quite a bit based on how often I smell it.

It really is quite remarkable how strong the smell is for the remnants to be powerful enough to make into my car at 75 mph.

Sign of the times I guess. People just don’t give a frick.

All I know is I’m getting tired as hell of explaining to a 7 and 5 yr old that the smell is just car exhaust. I may just say Frick it and tell them it’s drugs and that the crap rots your brain.

Nope. They run commercials on the radio to inform people of this.

It is not legal, and you can easily get a DUI doing it.

It's illegal but most cops won't bother with it as they are too busy doing other things.

Good thing you can't smell road beers. If you could see it it would look like this coming out of the plants:

I got a good whiff on Sherwood at a red light right after I saw that thread. It happens all the time now.

Anyone else smelling it at the most random of times while in the car?

I have had it where the smell comes in and there is no visible car even around us.

I mean how much hotboxing was going on in the vehicle?

Who actually smokes pot anymore besides thugs?

99% people I know all take edibles these days

Each state has state specific laws regarding the legality of THC and the use of THC.

Similar to states saying no open containers of alcohol in a vehicle.

You can be arrested for a DUI - driving under the influence of a substance, be it weed, even if legal in that state.

What’s your feeling on this?

I know I wouldn’t want to see the car next to me with a guy sipping and driving with an open 1/5 of vodka

Somehow the weed culture is getting a pass on this.

I get whiffs when I'm going in to work early in the morning. I just think "Jesus, what kind of loser gets baked at 6 am going to work?" I really like weed, too. I just save it for after work and after the kids go to bed.

Getting stuck behind a pot-head is freaking miserable.

Breaks down like this, okay: it's legal to buy it, it's legal to own it, and if you're the proprietor of a hash bar, it's legal to sell it. It's illegal to carry it, but that doesn't really matter 'cause, get a load of this, all right; if you get stopped by the cops in Amsterdam, it's illegal for them to search you. I mean, that's a right the cops in Amsterdam don't have.

Its definitely illegal, but the problem is there is no way to prove you're under the influence. Also being high makes you drive like a 85 year old grandmother, so there's not as much danger involved.

The thing about a DWI with narcotics is there is no legal limit. At least with alcohol you can be under .08

we understand it bugs you that others are free to do as they please with drugs, but roll up your damn window and you wont smell it, so this seems like a you problem.

they are letting murderers and rapist in one door and out the other at the jails, and this is the hill you want to cry on?

It's very likely illegal but it doesn't seem to matter. At least once a week I end up behind a vehicle on the interstate or on Florida and even though their windows are up I can still smell it strongly coming through my AC. The moment I go around them or they pull off, it's gone.
