After all this "winning" it's still called Lee Circle and there's still a giant pedestal whose purpose is well known. All Mitch did was remove a statue nobody could see up close or identify without being told who it was.

it doesnt need to be replaced with any monument. It has always been iconic because of the unique circle, not some statue that no one cared about.

The most deserving person would be A.B. Wood, engineer and inventor of the wood screw pump, which is the only reason New Orleans exists as the city it is.

I personally like Bitch Landrieu's "water feature" idea. I think it should be a dunk tank. Instead of going to his office in a suit every day, Bitch could put on a clown suit and sit in the dunk tank, where anyone could take a shot at dunking him for $5 a pop. This would accomplish two good things at the same time. First, it would keep Bitch occupied and not give him time to screw up anything else. Second, it would raise significant revenues to address the city's infrastructure and crime problems.
