The U.S. went without a Vice-President for 14 months after JFK was killed and LBJ was sworn in on 11/22/63, that is, until LBJ won the election with Hubert Humphrey and was sworn in on January 20th, 1965.

1) The English word “salary” comes from the Latin word for salt which is “sal” because Roman legions were often paid in salt. It is also where the saying comes from “he’s not worth his salt.”

2) El Paso, Texas is closer to San Diego, California than it is to Beaumont, Texas.

Cleopatra lived closer in time to the inventing of the iPhone than she did to the building of the Great Pyramid of Egypt.

Knoxville is closer to Indianapolis than it is to Memphis.

It is impossible to fold a standard piece of copy paper in half over 7 times.

Adding to this. If you fold a piece of paper over 7 times, like 9 or 10 or something, the paper would be so thick that itll reach the moon

His family was Parsi. Parsis were originally Persian (Iranian) and fled to India to escape persecution by peaceful Muslims.

Historically, Parsis might have only married other Parsis for a long time. I'm working from memory, but seem to recall reading that. If that's the case, Freddy's family would look more Iranian than Indian.

If you fold a piece of paper in half 10 times it would be 1024 times as thick as it was when you started (2^10)

Obviously that would get you nowhere near the moon

you have to be able to make the worlds biggest piece of paper first, and I don't think we have the technology yet. Maybe one day!

I think one of the most interesting aspects of Milwaukee is the fact that it's the only major American city to have ever elected three socialist mayors.

It's actually pronounced mee-lee-waw-kay, and is Algonquin for "the good land."

You'd also have to fold it more than 9 or 10 times

Assuming it doubles each time it only increases by a factor of 1024 after 10 folds

Evidently you would have to fold it roughly 42 times to get to the moon

The bikini swimsuit is named after Bikini Atoll, an atoll in the Marshall Islands where nuclear tests were carried out after WWII.

And to add to that, bull semen is collected using an electroejaculator, stallion semen is collected using an artificial vagina, but boar semen is collected using some poor bastard’s hand.
