For sure. Middle class Denver life with an Epic/Ikon. Life could be much worse.

I think you'll regret not doubling your income and presumably making a step in career progression

Ser Hemp is wise and you'd be smart to listen.

Try to think of your career not with the next role, but the role after that. Where do you want to be in 5 years?

If that's potentially a job where you could move somewhere else or even back to where you enjoy living now, then it's not a big risk. Go make good money and get experience and enjoy Colorado for 5 years.

Depends on where in Denver your work is going to be. If you are working on the northern side of the city, I'd look at Longmont or Fort Collins. I fricking love Fort Collins. If I had the money, I'd move there today. Reminds me of a Lafayette (medium city / college town). Nice people, very walkable, an hour from RMNP, good schools, decent food.

Just got off of I-25 in Greenwood Village to go to the Cody Johnson concert at Fiddlers tonight. I just about went postal on 2 GD immigrants cause they don’t know how to drive. I told the wife (no pics) that I’d rather move back to La than live in this shithole. I hate this city.

Traffic is going to play a huge part in your quality of life. There are lots of nice places to live. Just make sure you know where you will be working before buying a house.

Housing is expensive, the roads suck, traffic sucks, liberal politics etc. However, if you are willing to be active, you will never be bored. There are multiple seasons and each one brings something new. You’re 28 with no kids making good money, you will have a good time. If it’s not for you, screw it, move back to Bernie

Make the move and enjoy the life while you can. I'd live outside Denver though and commute. Buy a house with 2 car garage or shovel out your vehicles due to ice and snow. Get a snow blower for driveway and sidewalks. A 4wd vehicle wth high clearance is a must for ice and snow season.

Explore the rocky mountain region when on days off. Co, Wy. And Mt especially. Its beautiful country. You can move again later in life if needed to be near family.

Ah, but just wait until you start to notice how many Somalis and -istani's are being shipped in to the plains states! Half the crew working a Walmart in Williston ND had hijabs on! You are going to love the diversity that's going to be brought to your neighborhood!

This is frankly not correct. I lived there for four years (Covid included) and they were constantly creating new taxes and laws based on bullshite politics. The citizens of Denver would 100 percent railroad anyone forced to defend themselves with firearms.

Paying 10 cents per bag at the store that go directly to the homeless, police officers refusing to do anything with the homeless, ect ect.

Which part of Denver? I grew up in Golden and absolutely love to visit Colorado but will never live there.

If you like a miniature version of California, Denver is perfect. It’s gone so far left in the Denver/Boulder area a normal person would struggle to live there.

If you like stoners and hippies Denver is the place for you.

I tend to agree that staying in the hill country is the best option. Maybe you could move out further in the hill country?
