Folks - if you have not been paying attention to the forecast - very warm / hot temps this week across the western Gulf Coast states /south central U.S. to be followed by possible extreme temps the following week. Not sure I’ve seen temps this hot in June forecast by the GFS…2 meters is ~6.5 feet.

GFS (tropicaltidbits)

This is the time to get your sprinkles in good order - also may want to pick up some drip hoses for any areas not covered by sprinkler system (especially to keep soil sufficiently moist around foundation of house.

110 in Shreveport seems worse than 110 in other places for some reason

Have a cousin in McAllen, TX. Gonna be triple digits and windy as hell all next week.

So it’s colder in Mexico than most of Texas and Louisiana. Makes sense.

Well that’s depressingly scorching hot. I may not need to mow until July.

For the last 10 days the GFS has also had a Cat 3 going in everywhere from Brownsville to New York, always 10 days out.

It's like the GFS just throws shite at a wall at 10 days, and then if it actually plays out starts doing it's real job.

Now imagine if we listened to the libtard environmentalists and got rid of air conditioning altogether or put your thermostat on 78.

97% of scientists and some autistic kid from Europe think you should eat bugs. Is that not enough?

85-87 everyday during summer where I’m at, with a slight breeze.

Can’t understand why people subject themselves to 95+ degrees. Dummies.

When the GFS model switches over to the tropical algorithms, the model does have a tendency to “seed” hurricanes in the Gulf/western Caribbean 200-240 hours out. I’m more concerned about temperatures as this model does fairly well…
