It is really only two and a half months that suck, most of July, all of August and Most of Sept.

I count down the days until October every year. Yeah, it's usually still pretty hot but it starts trending down at least.

You can put up all your sweaters, sweatshirts, and long pants for 5 months without even thinking about pulling them out.

Oh, and it gives us all something to talk about. Nothing beats a "sure is hot out there" conversation!

We actually had a very nice, very long spring this year.

But the summer is making up for It with debilitating heat

In the summertime when the weather is hot
You can stretch right up and touch the sky
When the weather's fine
You got women, you got women on your mind
Have a drink, have a drive
Go out and see what you can find

If her daddy's rich take her out for a meal
If her daddy's poor just do what you feel
Speed along the lane
Do a turn or return the twenty-five
When the sun goes down
You can make it, make it good and really fine

We're not bad people
We're not dirty, we're not mean
We love everybody but we do as we please
When the weather's fine
We go fishin' or go swimmin' in the sea
We're always happy
Life's for livin' yeah, that's our philosophy

Unless there is a drought, I swear everyone claims this is "the wettest summer I can remember".

Hasn’t rained on my Adobe here in NorCal in a few months. Fog drops a little moisture but hasn’t helped the dryness

There are zero positives.

Summer sucks and it’s miserable from May to October. Especially in July, August, and September.

Sometimes I'll get something from my closet where my winter jackets are and say "Wow, I actually wear those things?".

It rains almost every day during the summer in South Louisiana. Usually not for long though.

We can safely put up flannels, sweaters, jackets at the end of March but keep your shorts and tshirts handy all year because it might be 85 on Christmas Day.

More daylight than winter.

The northern states get more daylight during the summer than southern states do. It doesn't get dark in Minnesota until 10 p.m. in late June and early July.
