Are we really supporting laws that prevent people from making phone calls? Slippery slope here. Employees can either choose to not work for those employers, not answer the phone or answer it and handle their business. That's the beauty of freedom.

When did you move to Portugal?

Bans?

No. That's clearly government overreach.

Salaried employees of facilities that run 24/7 are all for this.

Yeah I don’t know how this could ever work in my department unless we hired people to work at night and on weekends.

Man, look at these pussies downvoting you. Socialism is coming, and it’s coming fast.

Sounds like we have a bunch of BigGov leftists in this thread supporting the idea.

Requiring someone to work for no pay sounds more like socialism to me

i don't care enough to read the article to verify, but i'm sure there's a huge list of positions/industries that are exempt from this. you can't do this in the real world.

This is to benefit blue collar workers and flunkees.

No worker with any self worth would support this. Any driven person would laugh at it.

A better idea would have the employer pay the employee for that time in a 2 hour or 4 hour block.

But the commie version is always to ban.

Quite the opposite. If you have any self worth, you realize your value and don’t need to be working when you aren’t getting paid for it.

What a boomer cuck worldview lol. If you don’t sell your souls to a company you lose value

I would welcome a cuck to come and sell his soul to be “more valuable”. I’m still gainfully employed and more mentally healthy and happy than the fool with that mindset.

Agreed. I'm so ambitious I tell my boss not to worry about paying me! I even go to his house after hours and suck him off a little bit to make sure he knows I'm dedicated

You sound like a woman, with those hystrionics.

Instead of banning, just make them pay you for 4 hours. Viola, a real idea that doesn't result in the banning things.

Imagine that.

Ok man. You can sit by your phone on your off hours begging for those 4 more hours. I’ll be out enjoying life
