I will never forget as a kid in New Orleans at Mardi Gras watching a guy run up on officers like he was gonna be tough.
The officer stood there and just looked at him. The guy went to swing and the officer ducked and then landed a beautiful two piece and the “tough guy” folded and ems was called.
It was freaking great

I was working at a dancehall one time when this big redneck brawl spilled out into the parking lot. We were trying to pull them apart when the 100 year-old parking lot security guard walked up and sprayed everyone in the face, employees included. Fight was over and we were all rolling around coughing and crying until the police showed up. And that was probably just pepper spray or something weaker than what the police use. I lived in NOLA in the mid nineties back in the days when you didn't frick with NOPD; they fricked with you.
One year for Mardi Gras, I was a block or so from Lee Circle at St. Joseph and St. Charles right where the S&WB is. Two mounted cops had this guy hemmed in to arrest him and were waiting for some help to come pick his arse up and haul him away. One of the cops had his horse leaning on the guy kind of pinning him against the S&WB building so he couldn't go anywhere when the guy just hauls off and punches the horse.
I've never seen a worse case of a guy falling down and hitting his face on the ground over and over again in my life.

Teargas and pepper spray are different compounds with different results. Tear gas is cn or cs, while paper spray is oc or capsicum. Both cause watering of the eyes but paper spray just straight blinds you for a few minutes
