Is this a joke? What point are you trying to make here?
If this legislation was passed under the guise to help public libraries keep kids from accessing porn, yet libraries are promoting drag queen story hour and normalizing transsexualism, then it’s an absolute joke.
It’s a joke anyway because it singles out porn. Not violence or any other adult content. Just porn. If you’re gonna go after “harmful content”, go after all of it. Not just tits and arse.

government doing pointless shite that they think will make a difference again? i wouldn't have imagined

Just find a tube site that links videos to restricted sites and you bypass the age certification.

Well and of course can’t forget Honor Code. So blame can just go around to pretty much everyone we elect in Louisiana. Not going to get much better with the next crop.
Those of us that want the government to leave us alone, aren’t running for office.

I’m surprised by how many people on this board don’t seem to get how horrible porn is for you. It’s absolutely wrecking our society right now.
I love this move. I wish they’d make it harder to access.

I agree the pervasiveness of porn is not a good thing especially for kids but tying your drivers license to what adult content you view seems like massive government overreach. Also it’s pretty frustrating that this state has so many major problems and this is where the government focuses its efforts.

Won't affect me at all. I have a great memory.

If you want to buy tobacco, alcohol, or firearms you have to provide proof that you’re legally old enough to do so. This has been the case for decades and society is good with it. Why should pornography be exempt from this rule?

Horse shite. The divisiveness sewn by politicians, parties, and special interest groups is doing
More to destroy us than all the pornography combined. Porn may be contributing to
Our decline, but it’s down on the list of things wrecking us.

Who needs porn when you have Jesus?
Posted on 1/3/23 at 8:42 pm to Cs
It’ll stop more adults from accessing porn sites than kids. Most normal porn surfing adults aren’t linking their LAWallet or giving their contact info.

Yeah they do have a lot of problems. And they are pretty impotent quite frequently. But I think porn is a massive “silent” problem rotting our cultures men out from the inside, and many of them don’t understand what’s happening to them. So I’m down with treating it like drugs or alcohol.

These are all baby steps to social credit scores and digital blackmail.
It won’t be long before turning over your internet search history or allowing a third party to run a search on your history like a background check is requirement of employment or running for office.

I notice someone objected to my post with a downvote. Fair enough. But I also notice they have not bothered making a valid argument against what I asked. So I’ll ask again. If you have to prove you’re old enough to by alcohol, tobacco, and firearms, why should porn be exempt from having to do the same? If you can come up with a valid counterpoint, I’d love to read it.

Yea porn is the reason for inflation, shite wages, crime, and black men shooting each other at record paces
Sasha Grey getting gangbanged is the reason for the country being the way it is

I didn’t downvote, but you could make the case that alcohol and firearms in the hands of young people with no impulse control is not a good thing. Porn and tobacco are generally self harming so I don’t think they require IDs like the others would.

Yep. Guilty.
