Hit it with a hammer. If you break it into smaller pieces, it'll be easier for each of them to get back into place individually.
ETA: Well, damn. It's fixed. Get a staple gun and staple it into place now so it doesn't pop out on you again. Use the long ones.

The worst knee injury I've had happened when I was playing ball with some younger cousins. I jumped up to grab a ball and when I came down I landed on a deer leg bone that a dog had brought into the yard. I went one direction, my knee went the opposite and popped loudly.
I hit the ground, and some folks helped me back into the house. By the time I got back in the car to leave, maybe an hour or so later, my knee had swelled to about twice the normal size. I couldn't really bend it, and driving home was difficult. It hurt like hell for a couple weeks and walking sucked.
I never had it looked at, but down the road an ortho friend examined it and could feel damage. Several years later it still hurts occasionally.

Go see a Dr.
If in BR I'd see someone at BR ortho.
Dr Stephen Etheredge helped me a great deal with my knee. He's an LSU team doc.

Got an ortho to recommend
Dr. Brent Bankston at the BR Orthopedic Clinic. He has been LSU's knee ortho for a long time.

Reminds me of when I fell over a ball and I heard my arm bones (ulna and radius) break. First thing I said was “I think I heard it break” and my friend’s dad was running up to me and said “I heard it too”. That is when I shite my pants.

It depends on where you live, but pretty much every city has a few good ones and this doesn’t sound too complicated, but it is best to get it looked at professionally. Expect some swelling and tenderness. If it takes you longer to get an appointment, I wouldnt be too worried. Best case they will likely take some xrays, test the stability, and put you in a brace. You will have a couple of weeks of icing and staying off of it as much as possible.

Patella dislocation.
Painful. But can be put back in place with ease.
Sounds like you took care of it. Good job.

Re-injured my knee after many years and saw a doc, then ended up doing PT.
Keeping up some PT exercise will definitely strengthen your knee.

Mine do that. Hurts like hell. If I straighten my leg out it pops back in.
I’m very double jointed, though
I see it’s back in place. Good

Very high percentage it’s going to happen again, depending on your age if it keeps dislocating you’ll need an MPFL reconstruction to stabilize it
