This is very sad to read as I always held pj2 in high regard
The amount of cover up in the church must be astounding and beyond what we even know today which is a lot.

No, I'm saying that in addition to the pedophile priest problem of decades past, the church also has a liberal priest problem, and both should have been, and continue to be, treated in the same manner. Anathema.
In other words, the individual people are the problem as Loup said, but the church leadership's leniency towards its own issues is also contributing to the problem.

And all I am asking is how you came to your conclusion. If wokeness and liberal ideology in the church, which has only been a thing the past 5-10 years, is a big factor as you say, then you should see a correlation or increase in cases during that time period, no?

You're specifically discussing the pedophile issue, but I'm not. I think that's where the misunderstanding is rooted.
I'm talking about the pedophile issue and the issue of the church not enforcing the metaphorical line in the sand in general when it comes to resolving issues with the clergy, which includes pedophilia
